PHYSIO LED CLASSES
GLA:D PROGRAM (HIP & KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS)
The GLA:D® (Good Life with osteoArthritis: Denmark) program is a research-backed education and exercise program designed to help people with hip and knee osteoarthritis reduce pain, improve function, and regain confidence in movement.
GLA:D® is used internationally and is based on the latest evidence showing that education and targeted exercise are highly effective first-line treatments for osteoarthritis.
Who Is the GLA:D® Program For?
The GLA:D® program is suitable for people who:
Have hip or knee osteoarthritis
Experience joint pain, stiffness, or reduced function
Want to stay active and independent
Are looking to avoid or delay surgery where possible
Want clear, practical guidance on managing OA long term
Osteoarthritis is one of the leading causes of disability, particularly in adults over 65, affecting everyday activities such as walking, gardening, standing from a chair, and even putting on socks. The good news is that movement helps — and the right movement makes a real difference.
What Does the GLA:D® Program Involve?
The GLA:D® program combines education sessions with a structured exercise program, delivered by trained health professionals.
